Joint PhD Programs

The Department of Mathematics participates in the Applied Mathematics PhD Program of the Information and Communication Technologies Institute (ICTI) and the UT Austin-Portugal International Collaboratory for Emerging Technologies (CoLab) Program which confer, respectively, PhD level degrees by Carnegie Mellon University and by the University of Texas at Austin, as well as by participating portuguese universities.

The faculty representative in the Conselho Pedagógico, who is also a member of the Comissão Coordenadora, also has coordination responsabilities for Department of Mathematics courses shared among differente programs.
