This symposium is part of the International Conference on Numerical Analysis and Applied Mathematics (ICNAAM 2010) held in Rhodes (Greece), 19-25 September 2010.
Objective: Present and discuss experimental, analytical or numerical research on nonlinear hyperbolic differential equations and closely related fields, emphasizing their importance in scientifical and technical problems as well as their relevance in economical, social and environmental issues.
The aim of the symposium is to bring together people working on these issues and welcome talks on state of the art, relevant applications, open problems, directions of research.
