FARO
The meeting is to be held in Faro, the capital of the Algarve province. The Algarve is Portugal’s southern-most province bordering the Atlantic Ocean and with its warm climate is most famous for quiet and relatively unspoilt beaches. Faro is close to the unique Ria Formosa nature reserve, and there are some delightful small towns (e.g. Tavira, Lagos) and villages nearby.

Local food, especially fish, is excellent, as can be experienced in the many restaurants in and around Faro.
