Some of my favorite musicians

Ben Monder Modern 20th century classical music mixed with (jazz) improvised music on a guitar (with a band). My favorite CD is Oceana.
Allan Holdsworth The big guitar fusion hero! Amazing melodies and harmonies. One of my favorite songs is "low levels, high stakes" from "Hard hat area", but also also "Eeny meeny" from "flat tire" and "Eidolon" from "Sixteen men of tain". Also: "Against the clock" from "Wardenclyfe tower".
Pat Metheny Beautiful compositions form a mix of world music, jazz and Steve Reich influences. My favorite song is "Sirabhorn" from "Bright size life".
Eef Albers Rather unknown Dutch guitar player. Plays both blues licks and Bartok on the same jazz standard! He also wrote some beautiful compositions, like "The dream" on "Birds of the night".
Aka Moon Belgian band. Influences from Aka pygmees to Messiaen and everything in between. My favorite song is "Identification with the tree" from "Ganesh".
Richard Bona Amazing bass player and singer. Wonderful rhythms and time. Best live sound I have ever heard. My favorite songs are "Te misea" from "Reverence" and "Manyaka o Brasil" from "Tiki".

Synthaxe Wish I had one. It looks like it's from an old science fiction movie! Perhaps so does Holdsworth :-)
