TITLE: Particles in models of three-dimensional quantum gravity

ABSTRACT: Recently, the problem of coupling spinning massive particles to gravity in three dimensions gained considerable interest in the loop quantum gravity/spin foam community. I will introduce the results obtained by them, and will comment on the possible new directions (i.e. connections with Chern-Simons theory with Wilson lines), as well as on the new results which will be probably there at the time of the meeting.
