- Poios/Buracas are betwen Pombal and Condeixa. The location of the Poios crags is
here.
- Frederico: "From Poios you have to walk 15 min to the climbing area inside this gorge.
You have climbing for all levels. from the village you can also see a crag at the top of the hill, called Nossa Senhora da Estrela or Redinha(it has a small church inside a cave),
Poios area you cannot see it from the village you have to walk there cause is faced way from the village.
This Area Nossa Senhora da Estrela has also many routes for all levels but the climbing there isn't as good as Poios or the surroundings."
- The main sector "micro-ondas" (microwaves) of Poios is really hot in summer. Only good if the
temperature is around 14 degrees Celsius or less. (There is a river in the village to cool down)
- The sector at the bottom of the gorge is cooler. And also
the sector Nossa Senhora da Estrela ( = Redinha) is less hot.
- Buracas is a few kilometers North. Nice place, but for climbing it's only good above 6c+/7a.
- Seems that one can camp in or close to Poios.
- One can buy a local climbing guide for around 15Euros in a coffe shop near Poios (Redinha).
