" Inverse
problems in the theory of orthogonal
polynomials and applications to Jacobi operators theory "
Abstract. In
this
talk
we
will
speak
about orthogonal polynomials, focusing our
presentation on
the so called inverse problems. Several connections with different
branches of
mathematics will be pointed out. In particular, we will consider some
problems in the framework of approximation theory involving Sobolev
orthogonal polynomials as well as applications
to the spectral theory of Jacobi operators.
